Singer Neha Kakkar is widely popular for her trendy chartbusters as well as her social media presence. She enjoys a massive fan following for the same.
Neha started off by participating in the singing reality show 'Indian Idol season 2', but did not make it to the winning league. Fast-forward to the present, she was one of the judges on the same show.
Neha has been a judge on 'Indian Idol' for the last three seasons and is gearing up for the next.
In an interview with ETimes, the 'Kala Chashmah' singer reacted to trolls who call her a 'cry baby'. For those unversed, Neha often gets emotional and teary-eyed on the show, for which she has been trolled and called fake.

"I can’t blame them, there are many people who are not emotional at all. For people who are not emotional, I would seem fake. But people who are sensitive, like me, will understand and relate to me. Today, we don’t see too many people who can feel others’ pain and who want to help them. I have that quality in me and I have no regrets about it," Neha told the news portal.
Neha also reacted to reality shows being criticised for showing a lot of drama by focussing on the contestants’ personal lives and struggles. Defending the shows, Neha said, "I wouldn’t call it drama. There are elements included in a show to make it interesting. Showing just singing and dancing might get boring, so we also focus on the lives of the contestants and their families. Viewers also relate to them. When we show how a contestant has come a long way by sacrificing things, people connect with it because everyone has someone of their own who has been through struggle and achieved things. We are just showing on the show what happens in our homes."
Neha has some of the most popular numbers to her credit, including 'Aankh Maarey', 'Tattoo Waaliye', 'Saawan Mein Lag Gayi', 'Garmi', 'Laal Ghaghra', 'Saki Saki', and others.
Speaking of her personal life, Neha is married to singer Rohanpreet Singh. The lovebirds tied the knot in October 2020 with a wedding ceremony in Delhi and reception in Chandigarh.
