Bengaluru-based content creator Cassy Pereira has caught the attention of Instagram users with his recent reel that opens with a gripping question: “Does a tender coconut wala make more than a B.Com graduate?”. Driven by curiosity, netizens quickly clicked into the video, eager to find out the answer for themselves.
In the video, Cassy takes to the streets of Bengaluru, approaching a roadside coconut seller. He volunteers to team up and try his hand at selling coconuts.
He starts by wearing an apron to learn the skill of slicing the top of a tender coconut — a task that looks simple but requires caution.

After several failed and finger-risky attempts, Cassy admits defeat and decides to serve coconuts to customers.
The reel creator then engages in collecting, sorting, and disposing the waste into huge sacks. The act dirtied his pants.
A while later, he decided to switch his role from traditional seller to marketer. "After several attempts, I couldn't still chop the coconuts well. At a point, the owner lost the hope in me", he said before taking on his creative assignment.
Using Canva, a photo-editing app, he created a catchy poster to help attract customers, promoting the refreshing coconuts on the busy road.

At the end of the clip, Cassy caught viewers’ attention by revealing the math behind the business. He mentioned that each coconut sells for ₹70, and in a day, the vendor sells around 2,000 of them. That adds up to a staggering ₹1.42 lakh in daily revenue — and when you do the monthly math, that’s close to ₹42 lakh.

The video was posted on Instagram on April 28 and has since gone viral, racking up over one lakh likes and two million views.
