Union Home Minister Amit Shah turned 57 today on October 22, Friday.

Amit Shah, known as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's right-hand man, climbed through the ranks of the party because to his exceptional organisational and administrative skills.

As the party's president, Amit Shah, a close adviser to PM Modi, is credited for steering the BJP to victory in successive elections. Shah, dubbed the "Chanakya" of modern-day politics for his organisational skills, brings a wealth of political expertise to the table.

Amit Shah, who was born in Mumbai in 1964, became associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at a young age. In the second term of the Narendra Modi-led federal government, he was appointed Union Home Minister.

As the nation celebrates Amit Shahs birthday, have a look at how netizens have taken to Twitter to share birthday greetings.

Shah was a member of the ABVP, the RSS's student arm, throughout his college years. He joined the ABVP at the age of 18 and afterwards joined the BJP in 1987.

In 1997, Shah was elected as a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly representing Sarkhej, a seat that includes parts of Ahmedabad.

He retained it in the 1998, 2002, and 2007 elections until the seat was disbanded in 2008; he was subsequently elected in 2012 from neighbouring Naranpura.
