Television actress Gulki Joshi, best known for her role in Maddam Sir, recently took a dig at Shilpa Shinde's comment on the show. For those unversed, Shilpa was roped in for the show, however, the former Bigg Boss winner expressed disappointment with the makers.
Shilpa Shinde expresses disappointment
According to several media reports, Shilpa revealed that her role in Maddam Sir was a cameo and was supposed to last 10-15 days. She added that the makers suddenly told her to take a break.
Shilpa also claimed that while shooting for Maddam Sir, she got to know that the show is going to go off air and will launch its second season later.
Expressing disappointment, Shilpa stated that if she would have been told that she would have to take a break, then she would not have agreed to do the role.
Gulki Joshi takes a dig at Shilpa Shinde
In an interview with India Forums, Gulki, who plays Haseena Malik in the show, said, "I think all the 15 minutes of fame can rest in peace, for all I care."
She further stated that the audience is the best judge, and if they were not honest with their work, then Maddam Sir would not have had a three-year long run.
"We would let the audience decide on who is deserving and who isn’t. Silence speaks for everything and I think there are two kinds of people in this world. One who thrive on positivity and one who thrive on negativity, you know who is what. I think the audience is the best judge. If we weren’t honest with our work, our show would not have had a 3-year-long run," she said.
Maddam Sir premiered in February 2020. It stars Gulki Joshi, Yukti Kapoor and Sonali Naik, Yashkant Sharma, Ajay Jadhav and others.
