Television actor Shailesh Lodha, who bid goodbye to 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' six months ago, is yet to receive his dues from the makers of the show.
Shailesh played the role of Taarak Mehta in the sitcom for nearly 14 years before quitting in 2022.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Shailesh’s payment from over a year has not been cleared by the makers of the show. It’s approximately a six-figure amount. He has been patiently waiting for the makers to clear his dues for almost a year. But producer Asit Kumarr Modi is paying no heed.
The report further stated that Shailesh left the show due to an altercation with the makers. He felt 'disrespected and left the show without any notice'.
Reportedly, actress Neha Mehta, who played Anjali Mehta in the show, is also yet to receive payment of ₹30-40 lakh. Raj Anadkat, who played Tapu, faced similar issues.
Neha aka Anjali also did not receive money
In June 2022, Neha said in an interview that she lives a very dignified life and does not believe in complaining about anything. But the last six months' money is pending. After she left the show, she called the makers a few times regarding her pending dues.
It is not known if the actress has received her pending amount now. She was replaced by Sunayna Fozdar to play Anjali.
