Rishab Shetty meets PM Modi
Recently, Rishabh was seen catching up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru.
Speaking about the meeting, Rishab said that he spoke to the PM about the workings of the Kannada film industry and the showbiz as a whole.
"Of course we spoke about Kantara and the impact a rooted story had left on the audience worldwide. He congratulated us for doing a film that represents our culture. He mentioned Kantara several times and it felt surreal," he said.
Kantara prequel on cards?
Earlier this month, Rishab had announced that a prequel of 'Kantara' is on cards.
He had stated that what the audience had watched last year was the second part of the story of 'Kantara' and that the first part will now go on floors soon.
"The idea has been flashed into my mind while I was shooting for Kantara because the history of Kantara has more depth to it, and currently, if the writing part is concerned we are in the middle of digging into more details. As the research is still progressing, it would be very early to reveal details about the film," he had said.
'Kantara' had earned Rs 450 crore at the Indian box office while it was made on a mere budget of Rs 16 crore.
