Pune: A devastating accident occurred today around 07:30 hours on the Mumbai Pune Old Highway, commonly known as Anda Point, leaving two person dead and one person injured. The deceased identified as Gurudeep Singh Tes Singh Sarova (Age 47 years resident of Ambad Nashik), Satish Ramchandra Pawar (aged 54 years resident of Khopoli) Minor injuries Sophian Sheikh Hussain Mulla (Age19 years of Khalapur).

According to information, The vehicles involved in the accident were a truck with the registration number HR 12 QW 9215, a pickup truck with the registration number MH 14 HG 7790, and a new pickup jeep without a registration number.

Details On the Accident

According to information, the driver of the truck, identified as M.P. Singh, was driving alone on the Pune to Mumbai old Highway. As he approached Anda Point, the truck lost control and collided with the pickup truck MH 14 HG 7790, which was traveling ahead of it. The impact of the collision caused the pickup truck to overturn onto its left side, facing the opposite direction.

Tragically, the truck continued its destructive path and collided with the new pickup jeep, which was parked on the road without a registration number. The force of the impact caused the new pickup to be crushed underneath the truck. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene. An ambulance from IRB (Integrated Road Development) transported the injured passengers to a private hospital for immediate medical attention. The deceased driver was taken to Khopoli Municipal Hospital for further necessary procedures.

Police Authorities Reached the Spot Swiftly

Law enforcement officials from the Borghat Police Center, local Khopoli police station, and the Dedoot team were present at the accident site, along with patrolling staff from IRB.
