NAGDA (UJJAIN DISTRICT): Nagda city Congress president Radhe Jaiswal shot a letter to the Chief Minister and Ujjain district collector, alleging that the beneficiaries in the district are not getting the benefits of the much-hyped free ration scheme of either the state or the central government.
In in letter he stated that town, village remained completely closed due to the Corona epidemic.
In such a situation, most of the commercial remained closed and the workers failed to generate any income. To deal with such situation state government and the central government implemented the free ration distribution scheme, but this scheme has proved to be a boon only for the fair price shopkeepers as not a single fair price shopkeeper has given 100 per cent ration to the beneficiaries.
Jaiswal also stated that there were instructions to give free ration for three months at a time, but fair price shop have only distributed one month or two months ration to the beneficiaries.
Recently, SDM and food officer inspected a fair price shop in the town and found excess stock, same is the condition of all the shops in the city.
Jaiswal said that the administration does not even look at the fair price shops.
Jaiswal demanded that government should ensure that the eligible beneficiaries get 100% benefits of the free ration scheme.
