RATLAM (MADHYA PRADESH): City Congress on Friday demonstrated against the steep rise in the prices of the petrol and diesel at seven places in the city.
City Congress president Mahendra Kataria said that demonstration was held against the Union Government policy and its failure to control the prices of petroleum products in front of seven petrol pumps of the city.
Kataria alleged that Union government has fully failed to control the prices of petroleum products while in International market oil prices are not so high.
He also alleged that edible oil prices have also skyrocketed and Union government has failed to take any measures to provide relief to the common people. The burden of skyrocketing prices is unbearable for the common people.
He said that during Covid era there was need of providing relief to the common people from the increasing prices of commodities, but he alleged that Union government has not taken any step to control the price rise.
Dharna demonstration was led by Yasmin Sherani, Meena Bagga, Basant Pandya, Vijay Singh Chouhan, Rajiv Rawat, Himmat Jetwar, Vasim Ali, Saiyyed, Rajnikant Vyas, Dharemendra Sharma, Kamuruddin Kachwaha and others in front of seven petrol pumps of the city, press release added.
