Madhya Pradesh: Ratlam Rail Division holds awareness events on the occasion of International Level Crossing Awareness Day

RATLAM (MADHYA PRADESH): Ratlam Rail Division observed the International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD) on Thursday, by organising awareness events focusing on promotion of safe behavior at and around level crossings.

Ratlam Rail Division shared information with people about the precautions to be adopted while passing level crossing of railways. At Level Crossing Number 192 on the Ratlam-Chittaurgarh section, a civil defense team of Ratlam Rail Division staged a street play for communicating rules of movement on the level crossing.

The play gave out the message that flouting rules of passing level crossing is punishable under sections 146,147 and 160 of Railway Act, 1989. Locals were also informed about the rules of level crossing passing with the help of audio and video clips at the railways stations in the division.

ALOT (RATLAM DISTRICT): On International Level Crossing Day, Kota Mandal and Railway Protection Force jointly organised a street play at Railway Gate number 20 Special and Railway Gate number 21 Special on Friday. It was part of Railway’s awareness drive on precautions people should take while crossing level. Senior section engineer Rail Path Jagdish Meena, CSI MK Mishra of signal department and staff of Railway Protection Force were present.
