Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh): Preparing for a third wave of Covid-19 pandemic, which is expected to affect children, the Khandwa Medical College has set up a paediatric Covid care ward in its hospital.

Equipped with facilities like ventilator, centralised oxygen, hydraulic beds, warmer for newborns, oxygen system, it can accommodate 20 children including 10 newborns and 10 infants.

Dr Pramila Verma, paediatric department head, said a team of seven doctors will be available full time in the ward. Dr Garima Agarwal said all the machines have been installed. Those who offer services at the dedicated Covid care ward for children include Dr Pramila Verma, Dr Garima Agarwal, Dr Nandini Dixit, Dr Chetan Panwar, Dr Saurabh Jain, Dr Debashish Biswas and Dr Amit Panwar.
