Indore: All COVID-19 norms went for a toss on Saturday when BJP activists celebrated the birthday of a ward president at the vaccination centre in Sadar Bazar area.
The activists not only failed to maintain social distancing but most of them were not wearing masks as well. Large number of activists entered the vaccination centre and celebrated the birthday of ward president Madhuri Jaiswal along with cutting the cake.
They also created trouble for the people who reached the centre for vaccination as they had to wait for their turn till the celebration was on.
Meanwhile, Jaiswal told the media that her followers reached the centre to celebrate her birthday and she couldn’t refuse them.
Congress leaders targeted BJP and administration over the incident and said that they are taking action against the laymen but activists of the party in power are violating norms openly.
Congress leader KK Mishra tweeted that the BJP leaders have openly challenged the administration which is busy acting against laymen. “Is section 188 is only for the laymen and not for these activists?” he asked.
