Deepak Advertising, an agency known for its innovation, concepts and ideas in the advertising sector, has won the International Summit Creative Award 2021. This award was awarded to the agency in the Public Service category for its innovative soap pamphlet handout created for Western Railway, Mumbai. Creative entrepreneurs from more than 20 countries had participated in the awards.
The pamphlet handout had been created for distribution during Swachhata Pakhwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) organized every year to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The pamphlet was handed out to millions of passengers at Mumbai's suburban stations. To negate the casual uselessness of pamphlets, as they get discarded as soon as they are handed out, this particular soap pamphlet was designed in the way of a paper soap packet. The cleanliness message was branded on the packaging. Such representation of the cleanliness message the packaging combined with usefulness of paper soaps, propelled commuters to retain the pamphlet instead of immediately discarding it.
