Bollywood actor Pratik Gandhi, who was recently seen in 'Atithi Bhooto Bhava' is now gearing up for his forthcoming release 'Kahani RubberBand Ki'.
The film's trailer has left everyone spellbound and has also been getting positive reception from critics. 'Kahani RubberBand Ki' is a light-hearted comedy film enlightening about sexual education and the use of condoms.
While Pratik portrays a supporting character, the film stars Manish Raisinghan and Avika Gor in the lead roles. Along with them, 'Kahani RubberBand Ki' also stars Aruna Irani, Kanwarjit Paintal and Gaurav Gera in pivotal roles.
In the film, Pratik will essay the role of a lawyer, whereas Avika will play Manish's love interest. Interestingly, Pratik heard the film's script in late 2017.
Shedding light on it, he said, "I met the film's director Sarika while I was shooting for the Gujarati film 'Ventilator'. I heard the narration of 'Kahani RubberBand Ki' then, but due to professional commitments, the project got delayed. It was during 2018-19 that we started the film's shooting. Back then, I was preparing for 'Scam 1992', and I wrapped this film before beginning Hansal sir's series." Pratik furthermore stated that the film's concept left him intrigued.
Adding to it, the actor said, "In the film, I work at my father's medical shop. The best part I felt about my character is how he creates awareness about condoms and breaks the taboo of condom use. Even today, when people visit medical stores, they feel embarrassed to ask for a condom. Through this film, we have tried to convey a message in a humorous way about the use of condoms; what we call rubber bands in the film."
Praising the co-actors and the entire crew, Pratik added that everyone has worked hard and given their best shot. "As much as we enjoyed shooting this film, we are sure that the audience will accept 'Kahani RubberBand Ki' with open arms," he said.
Shot extensively in Varanasi, Pratik Gandhi will be seen playing a different character from his past outings. Sarika Sanjot makes her directorial debut, and the film is produced under her banner Moon House Productions. 'Kahani RubberBand Ki' is set to hit the cinemas on October 14, 2022.
