Madhya Pradesh: Bit relief after three district report one case each, Agar-Malwa nill after almost two months

With 1854 cases, Madhya Pradesh reports below 2000 cases in 24 hours

BHOPAL: As many places continue to face the wrath of second coronavirus wave, three districts - Burhanpur, Harda and Shajapur-- reported 1 case each, while Agar-Malwa did not register even a single case on Friday.

It is almost after two months that a district has not registered any case and while three reported only a single case each. With 1,854 cases, Madhya Pradesh reported below 2,000 fresh cases in last 24 hours. The Corona positivity rate stands at 2.5 percent. The number of active cases has dropped to 34,322 as 5796 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals on the day.

The state infection tally stands at 7,75,709, while with 63 new deaths the number of fatalities has climbed to 7891. Around 72,210 samples were sent for testing, of which 115 were rejected at time of testing on the day.

Fresh cases drop below 10 in many districts

Many more districts have reported very few new cases in last 24 hours. While Burhanpur, Harda, Shajapur added one case each to their Corona tally, the number of active cases in these districts stands at 51, 134, and 511 respectively. Khandwa reported 2 fresh cases taking the active case tally to 65, while the Ashok Nagar reported 3 new cases taking the caseload here to 171.

Alirajpur, Guna and Umaria reported 4 cases each with 41,271 and 443 active cases respectively. Singrauli, Datia and Mandala reported 5 cases each. The active case number in these districts is 570, 200 and 141 respectively.

Seven districts like Narsingpur, Katni, Barwani, Dewas, Jhabua, Tikamgarh, Bhind reported 7 corona cases each while their active cases are 176,192,242,334,86,140, and 96 respectively.

Indore reports 526 fresh cases, Bhopal 389

With 526 fresh cases the Covid-19 tally in Indore has climbed to 1,48,448 and toll here stands at 1331. Bhopal reported 389 new cases in last 24 hours, while the caseload here has gone to 1,20,039. So far 928 people have died of the infection. Indore active cases have come down to 5974 and Bhopal to 7859. Jabalpur reported 103 new cases and the active case number here is 1414 while with 68 corona cases the active cases in Gwalior have climbed to 1619.
