Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Taking a dig at state Congress president Kamal Nath,Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Wednesday Nath faced imminent defeat in civic bodies polls in the state, hence he continued to threaten government officials and employees while looking for a scapegoat for the defeat.
CM said Nath had not learnt a lesson from his past. When he was chief minister of the state he threatened government officials and employees. Even today, he continued to do so.
“He has understood that the Congress is facing defeat. That’s why he is looking for a scapegoat to blame him for the defeat”, said the CM referring to Nath.
“The blame is being heaped on the door of the administration and police. Kamal Nath ji! Why don’t you realize that when you were chief minister of the state you withdrew the government’s assistance to the poor under the housing scheme, thus you deprived many poor of houses. You discontinued Sambal scheme and deprived our mothers and daughters of the cash incentives of Rs 16000 which they used to get at the time of delivery”, said Chouhan.
“You discontinued Kanyadan scheme and stopped paying fees to the poor children. You also stopped giving Rs 4 lakh that a poor family got in case of any casualty in the family due to any accident. You also snatched Rs 2 lakh from the poor that they used to get on any death in the family. Even you stopped giving Rs 5000 to a poor family that it used to get as government assistance at the time of last rites”, said Chouhan addressing Kamal Nath.
“But now, when people are angry with you and not voting for the Congress you are insulting the government officials and employees. Our administration and police are working in an impartial manner. Kamal Nath ji! Insult to the government personnel including police will cost you dear”, said Chouhan.
