A video of a traditional father-daughter wedding reception dance went viral on social media in which it is seen that a bride dancing with her wheelchair-bound dad.
In the video, it is seen that Mary Bourne Roberts, a dance teacher, is dancing with her father Jim who is on a wheelchair. Jim is wheelchair-bound and was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a fast-growing and aggressive form of brain cancer, last May 2017, said reports. The video of the dance was shared by Blue Room Photography and showed Mary dancing with her dad on his wheelchair as Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” played in the background.
Mary told Fox News that, “We had always planned to use the song – we weren’t sure how he was going to even feel that day – we just knew that we were going to do it somehow.” After their special song — I Hope You Dance — came to a close, the father expressed gratitude towards his daughter and told her that he loved her and the dance itself meant so much.
