A video of jalebi-mixed vegetable curry is going viral on Instagram. It opens by showing a roadside vendor preparing sabji on a hot pan. He adds chopped vegetables one after another, along with some spices. While it appears to be a mouth-watering sabji which could be enjoyed with a piece of 'roti' or 'parantha', an unexpected ingredient disappoints taste buds.
In the video, the roadside vendor was seen adding several pieces of jalebi to the hot vegetable gravy. He added the desi sweet into the food preparation and gave it a good stir. Soon, he served it on a paper bowl to customers.
A food blogger named Urmil Patel shared the footage online and mentioned this bizarre dish was available in Gujarat. The jalebi-vegetable combination which seemed unbelievable was prepared as a night food delight at the Bajrang Totha House in Ahmedabad.
