Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya vice-chancellor Narendra Dhakad on Monday withdrew Prof PN Mishra as director of Institute of Management. He appointed Prof Rajnish Jain as new director.
Dhakad said that the appointment has been made as Mishra had completed his three years in office. As per rules, an HoD can remain at his office for a period of three years.
However, the VC can revise that period at his will. In this case, the v-c didn’t grant any extension to Mishra signaling that he was planning big for management institute. But that doesn’t seem to translate as he did not follow seniority over the issue.
