Ujjain: Police launch campaign to restrict crime rate during Holi

Ujjain: Superintendent of Police, MS Verma held a meeting with officials two days ago and issued directives to begin the crackdown campaign on anti social elements in the city, with an aim to curb crime rates during the festival of Holi. More than 250 habitual miscreants who have been arrested by the police department during last two days, will be held in custody until the festival comes to an end.

 He also directed all Town Inspectors of the city to control the increasing rate of vehicle thefts in Ujjain. The police department has already started checking documents of vehicles at the main squares of the city. The police is keeping a close watch on groups and individuals who force and threaten citizens to make donations during festivals.
