Ujjain: A pall of gloom descended on Bohra community after 4 persons of a family died and 2 injured seriously in a road accident while going Ujjain to Burhapur for ziyarat on Tuesday night.
According to reports Akabar Ali Agarbattiwala, resident of Kamri Marg was going to perform ziyarat to Burhanpur at Dargaah-e-Haqimi along with wife Salama, son Ameeruddin, grandson Mustafa Ameeruddin, daughter in law Zainab and elder grandson Tahir by his car.
The accident occured at Dodwa-Sagdiyav diversion on Indore-Ichchhapur highway, when a speeding bus coming from opposite side hit their car head-on.
Akbar Ali, Salama Ali, Ameeruddin and Mustafa died on the spot while Zainab and Tahir received serious injuries. The dead bodies of victims were handed over to the kin after postmortem.
According to the community members, the accident was so horrific that the car got destroyed completely as it was dragged 50 to 60 feet by the bus. Akabar Ali was a religious person and every year he used to visit Burhanpur for ziyarat they added.
The funeral procession was taken of the deceased on Wednesday afternoon in which hundreds of community members were present who bade tearful adieu to the deceased. All the deceased were laid to rest after Namaz-e-janaza at Bohra burial ground.
