Ujjain : Students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Dusshera Maidan conducted the cleaning drive for creating public awareness of environment conservation, health and cleanliness on Sunday.
Media in-charge Amitoj Bhargava informed that the places around Dusshera Maidan, Girls Hostel, Irrigation Colony Road and other areas were cleaned by removing wild grasses and scattered poly bags. Students under ‘Kundi Khelo Abhiyan’ requested denizens of Bhakt Nagar, Irrigation Colony and Dusshera Maidan to discard the use of poly bags and also conducted the ‘Nukkad Natak’ for making people aware about the environment conservation.
Students involved in the drive were also appreciated by the State Finance Minister Jayant Malaiyya and Collector Kavindra Kiyawat. Joint Director of School Education MS Rathore, District Education Officer Abhay Tomar, Rajiv Pahwa of Rupantaran team, Sunil Lalwani and around 200 hundred students and teachers were present in the drive.
