Ujjain : 16th State Level School Kalidas Samaroh was inaugurated at Mahakal Pravachan Hall, on Saturday. Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi announced to felicitate Sanskrit teachers on the teacher’s day.
Joshi in his address said that he would urge the government to open Sanskrit school at every district for the extensive development of Sanskrit. Various programmes should be organized to the promotion of Sanskrit. He also announced prize of Rs 15, 000 for the students who presented Saraswati Vandana and dance drama. Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic University Vice-chancellor Prof Rameshchandra Punda in his address said that Madhya Pradesh is rich in culture. The citizens of the State reflect the culture. Students should move towards the culture whether they will have to go for the professional life. There is a need to study Kalidas’s literature to under social affairs.
Dr Balkrishna Sharma in his address said that Kalidas was the symbol of Indian culture. The main objective of the event is to make students aware about the literature of Kalidas. He also mentioned the portrayal of the city of Ujjain in the work of Meghdoot. Sanskrit College Indore Vinayak Pandey and Joint Director MS Rathore were present. District Education Officer Sanjay Goyal proposed the vote of thanks.
