Ujjain : In a bid to seek people’s cooperation in maintaining law and order and to ensure better communication with residents, the Ujjain Police have launched Security Forum Yojana. Accordingly, 1269 security fora are being formed under 26 police station areas of the district.
Informing it at a press conference on Wednesday, SP Manohar Verma said that the Yojana is being executed as per the directives of DGP, who had directed for more active role of officials posted in police stations. He informed that the Yojana has been designed in such a fashion that it will help creating a friendly relationship between police and people.
According to SP, these security fora are being formed at police station level. In all 419 fora are being formed at 10 police station areas of Ujjain city. Likewise, 850 fora are being formed at 16 police station (rural) areas of the district. All TIS and beat in-charge officers will meet the residents of respective areas. Communication network will also be strengthened, he added.
