Ujjain : Schools were reopened on Monday after a 12-day vacation, which started on December 21. All primary school were closed for the winter vacation following a circular issued by the State government.
Due to the prevailing cold weather condition the government schools of the city witnessed thin attendance on Monday. Tiny tots were seen waiting for their buses cloaked in woolens with their parents.
Fog and mist covered the city on Monday morning, too. Maximum temperature was recorded at 22 degree Celsius and minimum plummeted to 8 degree Celsius. Students of private schools were seen on way to the school with dull faces, as the day marked end of 12-day
Government schools of the district also witnessed thin strength in the classes. Although the sun shone bright post 10 am, students could be seen shivering on their way to school at 9 am. The attendance of teachers remained satisfactory.
