Khajuraho : Mother of Asif Khan, Haseena Khatoon has been pleading the state government for almost a month for her son’s dead body, but to no avail. It seems that the government has forgotten the Panna incident, where many were burnt to death and feels no apathy towards the families of the victims who passed away in the incident.
There have been many who are waiting for the dead bodies of their relatives and the loved ones. The lackadaisical attitude of the administration has even kept the relatives away from performing the last rites of the victims.
President of Naina Social Foundation Khajuraho, Mayanka Gautam visited the Mandala Thana to know about the status of dead bodies, and she was told by Ajaygarh SDOP RB Sharma and TI ML Rawat that all the bodies have been sent to Sagar for examination and would be handed over to the relatives. Mayanka Gautam also approached the administrative officers of the region and requested them to return the bodies as soon as possible.
Haseena Khatoon has pleaded to CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan to get the bodies examined as soon as possible and hand them over to their relatives for their last rites.
