BHOPAL The police on Saturday used mild force to shoe away some over enthusiastic youths who were passing remarks at the eunuchs during a procession taken out in the city.
According to sources, the eunuchs of Budhwara and Itwara on
Saturday took out their traditional procession wishing a good monsoon in the state.
A large number of eunuchs assembled at Budhwara and Itwara areas in colorful outfits and sung film songs attracting a large crowd. The procession The sources, about 250 years ago, when the state was gripped by drought, the then Nawab had asked the eunuchs of Bhopal to take out a procession for good monsoon and it has become a tradition.
The eunuchs still keep the tradition alive and take out procession every year.
