Ujjain : District administration will hold painting competition at school and college level to promote Simhastha Fair-2016. Entries will be invited till August 20.
A meeting of publicity and press subcommittee of Simhastha Fair was chaired by deputy fair officer Gopal Dad, here on Thursday. It was decided during the meeting that school and college students will participate in the painting competition at local level. District Education Officer and Additional Director of Higher Education Department will be appointed nodal officers. Entries will be obtained from school students in three categories that is I-V, VI-VIII and IX-XII. Entries will be invited from graduate and postgraduate students keeping them in the same category. Painter Akshay Ameria and HoD of Drawing Department of Madhav Arts College, Prof Alpana Bhatt will decide the subjects of the competition.
A committee has been constituted to select the best slogan out of the received entries for slogan writing contest on Simhastha, at the meeting. DEO Sanjay Goyal, Painter Akshay Ameria and Prof Alpana Bhatt have been kept in the committee. A quiz contest on mythological and historical knowledge will be organized at the schools. DEO was directed to make extensive plan to host the contest. Deputy Director Public Relations Pankaj Mittal was present at the meeting.
