Ujjain : The district court on Tuesday granted three years rigorous imprisonment to an accused of fake mark-sheet case. The accused was booked under Sections 420 and 471 of IPC by Madhav Nagar police on April 4, 2002. Accused Anil son of Hukumchand, a resident of Budhwaria Ujjain had appeared in class XII MPBSE examination in 2001 from Doulatganj Higher Secondary School. He was failed in the examination. He had got a fake mark-sheet of Class XII and appeared in B Sc first semester examination after getting admission at Madhav Science College in 2002. An FIR was registered against Anil at Madhav Nagar police station. The then police station in-charge YP Singh investigated into the case. Accused was arrested and a charge-sheet was presented in the court. ADPO Mukesh Kumhare pleaded into the case. Chief Judicial Magistrate GC Sharma convicted the accused and granted him three years of imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 3000.
