Ujjain : SP Anurag Kumar on Sunday in a meeting held at police control room asked the police officials to remain alert on their duty considering the recent communal tension in the city. The SP also warned that policemen of suspension, if anyone found negligent in duty.
Anurag Kumar said the carelessness of a few police officials and employees had caused a lot the city. This should not be repeated in future. Policemen and officials will be suspended over negligence in their duty. Departmental action will be taken against responsible policemen, he said. All police station incharges were asked to gather information about religious spots, processions, dharna, VIP arrival and other activities of their respective area. The entire things should be planned through mapping.
A chart beat officer and morning patrolling officer should conduct inspection of all religious spots on their route. Control room should be reported about the points of checking.
All the police station incharges were asked to make their physical presence at police stations in evening. Strict action should be taken against hooligans and miscreants who conduct illegal activities confidentially. They should be enlisted and arrested while conducting a drive. Communication should be made with peace committee, social worker, city security committee members of the respective areas. No procession or rally should be taken out without permission of police. DJ sound system owners should be called for a meeting and a list of songs which they play publicly should be received from them. SP praised Bada Sarafa Association’s initiative of installing CCTV cameras with collection of Rs 1 lakh.
Transportation of cows should be stopped and special security should be managed during Namaz.
ASP Traffic Vijay David was asked to manage city’s traffic management.
Action should be taken against buses parked on roads between bus stand and railway station.
