Ujjain : An employee of the MP Electric Board (MPEB) got electrocuted while fixing a fault on high tension line at Mahidpur Tehsil on Sunday.
Officials of MPEB reached after 3 hours on the spot and brought down the body of victim hanging on high tension wires. Victim was identified as Jagganath son of Moti Ram resident of village Dhablapedi. According to police, accused Irfan and Mohan Lal resident of Mahidpur unknowingly switched on the power button due to which victim got electrocuted.
On the lackadaisical attitude of MPEB officials, villagers blocked the road by keeping dead body of victim on the way and shouted slogans against the officials. Furious villagers also pelted stones on the MPEB office. Police reached on the spot and controlled the furious mob. Mahidpur Police registered the case under Section 304-A of IPC against the accused and has taken the matter under investigation.
