Ujjain : Now Mahakaleshwar temple could be said as completely ‘polythene free’ temple as photographers have also stopped using polythene packets for giving clicked photographs to devotees. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat who also serves as officiating president of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (SMTMC) has few days ago has banned the use of polythene in the temple.

Temple committee has also issued strict instructions to the flower vendors and Prasad kiosks of stop using polythene.

Despite the order of collector all the licensed photographers were using polythene packets. After this issue was raised by media, SMTMC directed photographers to stop using polythene packets and now all the photographers have started using envelops at the place of poly packets.

Few days back Finance Minister of the State Jayant Malaiyya had also appreciated this decision of collector on his short visit to the city.
