Madhya Pradesh: Jeweller falls victim of online fraud

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): A jeweller of Patnibazar became a victim of an online fraud. He alleged that a ma reached his shop to buy the ring. He showed him a WhatsApp message of online transaction and fled with the ring.

Manoj Sarai who has a jewellery shop in Patnibazar, alleged that a youth named Vijay Patil came to his shop.

He chose a 6 gram gold ring and told Manoj that he will make an online payment.

Manoj shared the number of his son Aman with Vijay to transfer the payment for the ring. Patil showed Manoj a WhatsApp message and claimed that the online transaction has been made. He took the ring and left. After Vijay left the shop, Aman called Manoj and told that he is yet to receive the amount.

Manoj checked the the footage of the CCTVs in the area and spotted the the young man with one of his companions. These footages have been made available to the police. A case has been booked and further probe is on.
