Ujjain : Chief Minister (CM), Shivraj Singh Chauhan was on the inaugural spree of Simhastha developmental works in city on Wednesday and surprised everyone by suddenly visiting at Mahakal temple by going out of his schedule.
CM along with the chairman of Central Simhastha Fair Organising Committee (CSFOC), Makhan Singh Chauhan and other BJP leaders reached at the temple around 4 pm. CM paid obeisance to the deity of lord Mahakal and performed Pujan in the guidance of Pujari Pradeep Sharma. After paying obeisance to the deity, CM had words with the Shri Mahant of Mahanirvani Akhada Prakash Puri and left from the temple after attending ‘Hawnatmak Maharudra Yagna’ for few minutes. Purn Aahuti of ‘Hawnatmak Maharudra Yagna’ will be offered on Thursday and it was being organised jointly by CSFOC and Mahakal Temple Committee.
An internal source on the condition of anonymity informed Free Press that earlier CM’s visit was scheduled at the Mahakal temple at 12 in noon for attending Yagna but was cancelled at the eleventh hour after the interruption of some administrative officials. On the special request of the chairman of CSFOC, CM Chauhan changed his plan and first made paid obeisance to lord Mahakal and then participated in the Yagna. Officials did not want CM to hold meeting with the Shri Mahant Prakash Puri as bureaucrats wanted the entire saint community to keep away from the CM Chauhan.
