Husband burnt himself to death after killing wife, son: Police

Ujjain : The Ingoriya police on Wednesday claimed to solve the Banbana brutal murder case by registering a murder case against the deceased Narendra Rajput. According to the police Narendra killed his wife and son over suspicion on his wife’s character and then burnt himself to the death.

On July 3, the Ingoriya police had recovered charred remains of one male, a female and a child. The remains were said to be of one Narendra Rajput, his wife Nanda and their four year old son Hansraj, all residents of Banbana village. The Ingoriya police on Wednesday arrested 7 persons including Vijendra younger brother of Narendra in connection to the case and charged them with causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender. SI Chain Singh Parte informed that the investigation of the department pointed in the right direction and Narendra was the killer of his wife Nanda and his son Hansraj. Singh informed that Narendra killed his wife by strangulating him and killed his son Hansraj with baton and then burnt the bodies. The relation between the couple was strained and Nanda, wife of Narendra used to taunt her husband over his impotency to fruit a son by saying that Hansraj is not his son.

On July 3, heated arguments were exchanged between the couple and Nanda allegedly embarrassed Narendra in front of his parents. Irked and agitated Narendra took her and Hansraj to his field and killed them. Later he prepared three pyres two for his wife and child and third for himself where he poured kerosene on himself and laid on the pyre, allegedly burning himself to death.

The brother Vijendra reached the field and witnessed the half burnt body of his elder brother and with the connivance of some villagers, he along with others torched Narendra’s body completely. The police have registered a case under Section 302 against deceased Narendra. Vijendra and 6 others have been arrested under Section 201 of the IPC.
