Ujjain : Former Member of Parliament Premchand Guddu blamed the police failure behind the gang war in the city, which claimed three lives on Sunday.
Taking a press conference at Press Club here on Monday, Guddu said the police department utterly failed to stop the blood shedding, which could have been averted, if actions would have been taken in time. Striking the police, he said, where is the intelligence department of the police, when sophisticated arms are being carried in open by the criminals. Not only these anti-social elements are murdering their own breed, they are risking lives of common public.
Launching a scathing attack on the police, Guddu said, the dormancy of police department is going to cost dear. Similar inactiveness was seen in the murder of case of Congress leader Babulal Malviya at Tarana, recently and the Congress had warned about the inaction of the police and now the consequences are here. The police have failed to nab the smuggling of illegal fire arms in the city, which are now claiming lives in the city.
Raising questions over effectiveness of ‘Dial-100’ services, he said, the new service launched to nab the crime before happening, also failed at every parameter and was given bloody welcome. Taking a dig at the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Guddu said, “The CM is distributing invitation cards for Simhastha Fair, while the locality hosting the Simhastha Fair is painted blood red. The incident has raised the sight of Ujjain in crime, which is going to affect the tourism.”
