Ujjain : The police on Friday claimed to have cracked the blind murder case of a man at Ghattiya on March 17. The wife of the deceased and her paramour were found to be the guilty behind the murder of the man who was later identified as Yogesh (34) son of Amar Singh Gurjar, a resident of Malipura. SP MS Verma held a press conference regarding the case on Friday. He said, the dead body of Yogesh was found strangulated at Panchkroshi Route near a farm land. Police had recovered empty liquor glasses and bottles from the spot. During the investigation police found out that the deceased was patient of Tuberculosis and had habit of gambling. During the investigation the police also got suspicious about the behavior of the wife, who shelved many questions of the police.
Later the police found out the wife who worked with Halwais in the city have a paramour, worked for two-three days outside the home, where she in fact passed the time with her paramour Lokendra alias Rakesh Bhati, a security guard at RD Gardi medical college.
During interrogation, Lokendra confessed to have killing Yogesh with help of his wife. On February 17, he called Yogesh in name of Raju Tiwari, telling him collect the remaining payment of his wife from Chamunda Mata Sqaure. The wife also joined both of them en route, both of them took Yogesh to the secluded place near Ghattiya and killed him by strangulating him with a handkerchief. A case under Section 302 and 34 of the IPC was registered against the accused. SP Rural Pankaj Shrivastava, ASP Surendrapal Singh Rathore, TI Ghattiya JR Chouhan, SI Dhamawat had a vital role.
