Ujjain : Mahidpur police confiscated the consignment of 50 gelatine rods and 50 detonators kept hidden in tractor trolley parked near Apsara Talkies in Mahidpur city, on Thursday morning. Two accused Narayan Lal and Mohan Lal were also arrested in connection of the case.
According to the received information, accused Mohan Lal used to work as the accountant in the firm of Kailash Toshniwal who deals in selling of explosives material. While the other accused Narayan Lal was the driver of confiscated tractor which is used for ferrying the gelatine rods and detonators by the firm. Mahidpur TI SC Sharma informed Free Press that both the accused used to sell the remaining part of the left consignment to purchaser in black market.
Owner of the firm could also be booked by police as he was conducting the business in city area while he posses the licence to carry out business outside the city. Case has been registered against the accused under Section 5 of Explosives Act of 1884 and further interrogation is being conducted.
