Ujjain : State government’s project e-shakti to train state women teachers and students in computer literacy and internet to make literacy (e-literacy) was inaugurated here on Tuesday at all government excellence schools, girls’ school and home guards department, simultaneously.
Training was provided under an ‘e-shakti’ campaign among girl students of higher secondary schools and women teachers and Aanganwadi workers, the trainees were informed about the benefits of daily use of internet. The campaign is conducted with the cooperation of Google India.
The government has directed district education officers to review the scheme at their level and provide information about it to the Science and Technology Department. 1200 women and girls were benefitted on day one, an official press release said. The training camp will continue for next ten days. District Education Officer has been appointed as nodal officer of the campaign.
