Drunk youth thrashes mother over dinner

Ujjain : An inebriated youth thrashed his elderly mother on a petty issue at Nanakheda area on Monday night. Injured woman Saroj Bai (60) narrated her ordeal before Nanakheda police and informed that her son Vijay Singh rammed her head on the wall when she refused to serve him the hot meal. Elder son of the victim, Ashok admitted her in the Civil Hospital where she is under treatment. Victim suffered 5 stitches on her head in the incident. Ashok informed that Vijay is addicted to alcohol from long time due to which his wife had also left him 2 years ago. Nanakheda police has registered the case under appropriate sections of IPC against the accused and taken the matter under investigation.
