Drone cameras to be banned at Simhastha Fair area

Ujjain : Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home, BP Singh on Friday reviewed the works of six departments during a meeting at Fair office. DGP Surendra Singh directed to put a ban on the use of drone cameras at Simhastha fair area. Flying would also be restricted in the fair area due to security reasons. Only police administration would use the drone cameras in view of security purposes.

State government has deployed ACS level officials to monitor over the management of the Simhastha fair. The top officials would ensure the arrangements of all necessary things within the deadlines. ACS Singh chaired the works of Home, Public Health, School Education, Transport, PWD and Endowment departments during the meeting. DGP Singh also reviewed the works of Home and Home Guards and directed officials to make foolproof arrangements of security and disaster management. Health department staff should work in coordination with Home Guards. It would work during the situation of disaster management.

ACS Singh told that there should have a green corridor for the ambulance. SP MS Verma told that an action plan has been prepared for such arrangements. Ambulances would easily be travelling across the special routes during casualty and the need of special medical help. Department has developed the plan for security and crowd management. He also elaborated the plan through a presentation. Both the officials also had reviews of traffic management, security of sensitive spots, work area of police at Simhastha, natural disaster, planning during different emergency situations, management of royal bathe, training of special cops and policemen, satellite towns, mass transport, parking, public transport, alternate action plan, barricading, camps and SOP for emergency situation.

SP told that information would be disseminated to the visitors through large hoardings at satellite towns and entry points. ACS Singh directed to get the hoardings prepared with simple and easy to understand language. During the review of Health department, CMHO gave zone-wise detailed information. Singh asked the senior officials to have an updated list of the blood donors for Simhastha. They should have tie-up with hospitals nearby Indore to deal with major cases. Ambulances deployed at Simhastha fair should be equipped with all basic facilities. During the review of Transport department, officials were asked to update the complete information of the vehicle owners while issuing permits to Magic vans to be operated on 28 routes.

There should have fitness verification of vehicles. School buses would be utilized during Simhastha duration. Fair Officer Avinash Lavania told that tenders for smart parking had been floated. Pre-booking for the space in parking lot will be done through smart parking. Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor, IG V Madhukumar, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, DIG Rakesh Gupta and others were present.
