Demand of terminating corrupt officials surfaced

Ujjain : Contractor Association Ujjain demanded termination of corrupt officials indulged in Simhastha development works. Office bearers recently met Central Simhastha Committee Chairman Makhan Singh and demanded removal of corrupt officials. They also provided information of corrupt officials to Singh. They also threatened to sit on a dharna in case their demand was not fulfilled. PWD EE PG Kelkar who is involved Simhastha development works was working as in-charge EE in the city. He was alleged for substandard construction of Unhel-Nagda Road. He was suspended over that issue. Kelkar was later posted at Sehore. There he also practiced corruption of Rs 1.25 crore by supplying a fake bill. Lok Ayukta was complaint about it. Taking action over this Chief Engineer ordered to recover Rs 31.58 lakh from his salary. Other officer Komalchand Bhutra was also found involved in corruption.
