Ujjain : The daily drill of Divisional Commissioner (DC) Dr Ravindra Pastor was held at Kalbhairav zone of the Simhastha fair on Thursday. The Kalbhairav zone has three sectors including Siddhwat, Kalbhairav and Garh Kalilka temple.
As usual the commissioner came with a volley of advices and lecture to the staff working for the Simhastha fair. Sector officer was directed to complete the works till December 5, which looked a long trail as around 13 kilometeres of pipeline is yet to be laid by the PHED contractors in the zone. Contractors working at the ghats were instructed to maintain a record of personnel cleaning the ghats during the fair and that too with record of area cleaned. Similar process will be opted for the toilet and sanitation during the fair.
The Kalbhairav zone will have staff of 800 sanitation workers working 24 hours in shifts of 400 each, supervised by 8 supervisors and 3 managers. The zone will also have facility of 20 bed hospital, 2 dispensaries of 6 beds each serviced by 15 assistant surgeons and 185 paramedical staff.
To cater the needs of ration 6 public distribution shops will be opened in the zone and three LPG counters will also be opened. 4000 quintals of fire wood will be required during the fair for which the forest department will stockpile. Officers of Ujjain Development Authority were directed to renovate 27 temples under the zone, but no timeline was decided. Giving stringent warning to encroachers and persons barring the works Pastor said police will now assist pacing the developmental works and a case under Section 332 and 353 of the IPC will be registered against offenders.
