Ujjain : Cold waves swept the city causing steep fall in the temperature on Saturday. The freezing cold was felt by the citizens after the cold breezes started blowing across the region.
The mercury dipped to 23 degree Celsius in the day as compared to 33 degree Celsius on Thursday. The sky was overcast throughout the day as people were seen wrapped in woolen clothes. People were seen huddling at woolen cloth market to buy woolen clothes. North wind started blowing with the speed of 10 km per hour made people to shiver. Meteorological department informed that it is the impact of snow fall in northern region of the nation. The cold will get increase in the days to come. People were expecting sunshine, but the sun did not peep out of the sky. The light frost was also witnessed in the climate on Saturday morning.
