Ujjain : Under the quality assurance project ‘Kayakalp’, assessment would be done to ascertain the quality of medical services provided by the divisional Civil Hospital. A preparatory meeting for the same was held here on Tuesday at the Brahaspati Bhawan which was presided by ADM Avadhesh Sharma.
The assessment would be done by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
Under Kayakalp, the performance of a hospital on the basis of included landscaped surroundings, clean drains, well maintained buildings, disposal of street and general waste, scientific management of biomedical waste, robust infection control practices, asepsis inside the operation theatres and labour rooms.
Attaining a level of cleanliness would also require changing behaviour of patients and community, besides change in work culture of the hospital staff, he added.
Under the quality assurance project, the assessment would be done to assess the quality of various medical services provided by the hospital. In case the hospital manages the top slot in the entire state, it would get a monetary award of Rs 50 lakhs.
