ABVP submits memo to UEC principal to protest irregularities

Ujjain: Irked over irregularities prevailed at Ujjain Engineering College (UEC), ABVP here on Tuesday handed over a memorandum before principal Prof CD Patil. The memorandum highlighted several problems prevailed at the college due to which the reputation of the college is on the stake.

The points include that CCTV cameras should be installed at all classes, laboratories and corridors of the college, biometric thumb impression machine should be installed to ensure presence of faculty and staff. ABVP also demanded that college administration should manage drinking water, cleansing of the premises to avail a convenient ambience to students. Experienced teachers should be appointed in examination related jobs. Newly constructed hostels should be taken over from concerned departments to provide safe abode to students.

The memorandum also pointed out the dispute between professor and students in chemical engineering department.
Department HoD should be removed considering his alleged behavior with students. Regional assistant secretary Sushil Wadia, Dharmendra Rajput, Vikram Dodia, Vikram Kushwah, Manish Dodia, Nikhil Bharadwaj, city secretary Nitin Bijapari and others were present.
