Ujjain : Mahant Narendra Giri, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad, has demanded equal works for all the Akhadas, with transparency.
President Giri, who was angry with the unfurnished Dutt Akhada ghat, said the government should not work with partiality. On the other hand the general secretary of the ABAP, Mahant Hari Giri, who is in city on Tuesday, told Free Press that Dutt Akhada Ghat where sadhus and sanyasis of 7 Saiva akhada will perform Snana, is unfurnished. What it all it got is cement concrete. He said the other side of the ghat is being rejuvenated with red stones, then why this ghat is left out. The saint on the other hand applauded the efforts of the government for the Simhastha mela, said there are anomalies over which the senior officers and politicos should interfere.
Mahant Narendra Giri told Free Press, that all should be equal for the authorities and if there is any work on one side of the Kshipra then why they left the other side.
He demanded that the government must start the stone paving work at Dutt Akhada ghat. Also there have been severe discrepancies in allotting funds to the different akhadas, for development works, which he will raise to the authorities once he arrives. Giri said he will arrive in the city on January 5 or 6 and will remain here for a week, next year.
