5500 NCC, Scouts, NSS, Sevadal volunteers to serve in Simhastha

Ujjain : 5500 volunteers of NCC, Scouts, NSS, Seva Samiti and Sevadal will serve in Simhastha Fair. They would be imparted a training and will be given uniforms and kits. These volunteers will extend their services for information center, crowd management, traffic management, blood donation, first aid, found and lost center and computer related works.

This was informed during a review meeting of School Education Department held at Simhastha Fair Office, here on Monday. Minister of School Education Paras Jain chaired the meeting while Additional Chief Secretary SR Mohanthy was also present at the meeting. NCC, Seva Bharti, Scouts & Guides, NSS, Sevadal, Seva Samiti volunteers would extend their services at the Simhastha Fair. They would be provided uniforms prepared by self help groups. Around 2000 scouts & guides students, 1500 NSS volunteers, 1000 volunteers of Congress Sevadal and 1100 volunteers of Seva Samiti will come to the city.

Minister Jain directed officials to decide their deployment at the Fair after deciding the final figure of the volunteers of the department. Vaccination for typhoid and cholera diseases should be done at schools before the Simhastha. Volunteers who know how to swim should be deployed at the banks of Kshipra. Municipal Commissioner was directed to ensure the supply of water in the old city during the Simhastha. He also asked to manage facilities of water and others at 14 schools marked in the city. 12000 volunteers of Jan Abhiyan Parishad will also serve at Simhastha Fair.

ACS Mohanthy told that volunteers of Education Department will be provided accommodation in schools and tents during Simhastha. He also directed officials to manage potable water, toilet, power supply, maintenance, fans, etc at schools. Collector is authorized to make final decision. He gave the deadline of completion of all works by March 15.

Maintenance of the equipments of Government Jiwajirao Observatory is being done. Observatory will glow with the advance solar lights. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat told that 95 villages falling on the approach roads of Ujjain are being developed as smart villages to make devotees halt there. SFA Chairman Diwakar Natu, Commissioner Public Instructions DD Agrawal, Jan Abhiyan Parishad Vice-president Pradeep Pandey and others were present at the meeting.
