Ujjain : Inspector General (IG) of Ujjain zone of Railway Police Force (RPF), Uday Shukla inspected the preparations at the railway station for upcoming Simhastha Fair 2016 on Saturday.
IG inspected all the eight platforms of the station and took information of CCTV and dome cameras installed at the platforms and gave several directions to the present officials. Shukla also held meeting with the IGP, V Madhukumar, DIG Rakesh Gupta, and SP MS Verma and with other senior police officials of RPF, GRP and District Police Force to chalk out joint action plan for upcoming grand religious congregation in which efficient crowd management will be the biggest challenge before the authorities.
Several important decisions were taken in the meeting of senior police officials. Force of more than 1000 RPF cops, officers including 3 officers of SP rank will be deployed at Ujjain railway station, flag stations and nearby stations like Nagda, Maksi, Ratlam during Simhastha Fair for facilities of the travellers. Special trains will be stopped at flag stations being built at Mohanpura, Pawasa and Vikram Nagar and temporary ticket windows will also be opened at these stations. District Police Force and RPF will also organise three days long training session at Police Line for better coordination during the grand fair. SP GRP Indore, Mahesh Jain, RPF Senani R Sudhakar, ASP Manish Khatri and others were present at the meeting.
