Raipur: A young man committed suicide by jumping from the 7th floor of Babylon Tower in Raipur on Wednesday. The incident occurred in Telibandha police station limits.
The reason behind taking extreme steps by the young man was still unknown. Meanwhile, the victim's identity has been confirmed as Vijay Basone, who used to work as an accountant in the Babylon Tower, but recently lost his job. He started working in another hotel.
However, he reached seventh floor of the of the building and all of sudden he took extreme step and committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of the Babylon Tower.
CCTV footage has also been circulated in the social media in which the man was spotted jumping from the 7th floor of the Babylon Tower.
It has been claimed that the deceased man belonged to Balaghat in MP. Here he was residing in rented accommodation. It has been also speculated that the man was already married and was passing through a phase of financial hardships.
However, in the case, police informed the family members about his identity. While speaking to the media the police said, the investigation is ongoing and presently the reason behind taking extreme steps by the victim is still unknown.
